Community Care
Caring for the elderly in their homes allows you to spend time one–on–one with clients. You don't need to have a qualification to make a different in the lives of our clients as a Home Carer. You might pop in to help a client with some of their domestic and house cleaning duties. This may include laundry, light cleaning, washing dishes, cleaning bathroom/bedroom, tidying and having a chat to the client in their home.
A typical home visit is on a weekday for 1 hour with 2-4 clients a day, depending on your available hours and days. When you first start, you’ll need to commit to a minimum of 10-15 hours per fortnight. How much you work will grow depending on your flexibility and client demands.

Not sure what salary packaging is? Put simply - an agreed portion of your pay is packaged up before tax (tax benefit as a not-for-profit) to give you a bit more take-home pay. Conditions apply - but don't worry, we use a partner to guide you through this.

- an ability to communicate with clients in English (other languages can be helpful too)

We will ask you to supply a recent police check (we do accept NDIS Clearance if you have one), proof of vaccinations (Covid - 3 doses and Influenza), and evidence of qualifications. Don’t worry, we’ll only ask you for these when we need them.
